Completion of the 4th edition of postgraduate studies at the Jagiellonian University with the participation of the Partner of the Office Law, advocate Bartosz Groele
Another year of post-graduate studies in restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvencyl law combined with non-legal knowledge at the Jagiellonian University has just ended. Bartosz Groele, the Partner of the TPG Office Law, participated in this 4th edition of the workshop as an expert-practitioner. Despite the 3-month interruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the study program was successfully implemented. Indeed, it was not easy year, so the more do we congratulate the participants of the studies as well as the co-teachers, prosecutors, assessors and judges studying during this year’s edition.

On 18-19 September 2020 in Zagreb an International Conference on Applicable Law in Cross-Border Insolvency Proceedings will take place. The conference was re-scheduled from March 2020. The TPG Law Firm’s Partner, advocate Bartosz Groele, was invited to speak at the event. Owing to the dynamic changes of the Covid-19 pandemic, Counsel Groele will participate in the conference online. His presentation will contain the presentation of a scientific article which will be later published. The Firm’s junior associate Kamil Struś with the 3rd best result at the final Bar exam.
We are delighted to inform that Kamil Struś, a junior associate and an advocate trainee practicing since 2018 with the TPG Law Firm has achieved the 3rd best result at the Bar exam held by the Cracow Bar Association. Indubitably, this enormous professional success is due to Counsel Struś’ dedication to his work and in-depth exam preparation. On 9 September 2020 Counsel Struś was officially admitted to the Bar at an official Oath Ceremony held at the Cracow Bar Association. TheTPG law firm’s success in a court case involving acts of unfair competition
The TPG law firm represented a large company from the payment services industry in a complex case in the field of acts of unfair competition, in which an action was brought by a competitor against the client of the law firm. The court issued a judgment in favour of the Law Firm’s client. The case was handled by Counsel Jan Pakosiewicz, attorney-at-law, and Mateusz Grzeszczyk, trainee.

11-14 May 2020, online meeting of the Working Group V UNCITRAL (Insolvency Law)
On the days 11-14 May 2020 the members of the Working Group V UNCITRAL (Insolvency Law) meet online. The Partner of the TPG Law Office advocate Bartosz Groele is one of the delegates from Poland. As the scheduled for April and May sessions cannot take place in a traditional way due to the present situation in the world (PANDEMIC COVID-19), the UN has decided to organize an informal consultation online. The representatives of the majority of the 60 member countries will participate in the meetings during which they will discuss the changes in the draft text concerning the simplified insolvency proceedings.
